Avocado oil has a milder and nuttier flavour than olive oil. Depending on your taste buds, you may detect a smooth and buttery flavour.

Avocado oil also has a higher smoke point, at 450 degrees F, compared with olive oil at 375 degrees F. This makes it a healthier oil for cooking.

Avocare’s oil is perfect for grilling, stir frying, deep frying, dressing salads, pastas, and drizzling over your favourite dish. Avocado oil is extremely versatile, healthy, and delicious.

Our 100% natural, extra virgin avocado oil is made with hass avocados from Rwanda. Our avocados are harvested primarily in Butare in northern Rwanda, which has a wonderful climate for avocado orchards.

Yes, the avocado must be ripe before pressing so that the skin and the pit can be easily separated for de-stoning.

Avocare believes that the best extraction process is cold-pressed.

First, we press, using only the avocado pulp. Pits and skins are removed and used for other purposes.

We press below a temperature of 100 degrees F. We never refine or dilute our oil or add any chemicals.

No, absolutely not. Avocare’s avocado oil is pressed and bottled with no additions. There’s no need for preservatives due to its raw, stable nature,. And no need for colouring as it retains its naturally  gorgeous green.

At Avocare, we focus on purity and quality. Through our natural refinement process, we protect many of the nutrients of avocado oil, while allowing for a higher smoke point, milder flavour, and a versatile culinary oil.

No. Although our avocado oil is technically raw, it does not require refrigeration. Avocado oil (in an oil form) is stable. Keep it at a consistent temperature and out of direct sunlight.

Avocado oil is fairly stable and doesn’t easily go rancid. This is partly due to its low poly-unsaturated fats. Higher amounts of poly-unsaturated fats can form more free radicals, which are associated with rancidity.

Avocado oil, on the other hand, has high mono-unsaturated fats which contribute to a stable oil without the need for preservatives.

We suggest using avocado oil within 4-6 months after opening for the freshest flavour profile. However, Avocare avocado oil can last until its best by date depending on storage conditions.

Avocado oil is good for you because the fat profile is 70-74% monounsaturated fats, 10-14% poly-unsaturated fats and 10-14% saturated fat.

This is similar to olive oil, however, avocado oil is thicker or more viscous, so a small amount goes a long way.

Avocado oil is high in several nutrients, namely Vitamin E, lutein, and beta-Sistosterol, the compound responsible for lowering bad cholesterol. Lutein is also known to help the macular region of the eye.
